Why is your help important?
Violence against women is still a serious problem in Canada, with 61% of all Canadians saying they personally know at least one woman who has been sexually or physically assaulted.
The Canadian Women’s Foundation’s Shelter from the Storm campaign supports more than 450 shelters across Canada, and community violence prevention programs. These programs help women to rebuild their lives after escaping violence, counsel children who’ve witnessed abuse, and teach teens how to have healthy relationships, stopping the violence, for good.
Watch Breakfast Television and listen to 98.1 CHFI at 6am, Wednesday May 9th to hear how survivors have rebuilt their lives with the help of the Canadian Women’s Foundation, and call in to donate to help change lives.
